Quebec-based credit union Desjardins Group has signed a C$20 million contract with IBM Canada for the supply and implementation of 600 Wincor Nixdorf cash machines.
The ATMs will be tailored to meet the needs of individual Desjardins branches and equipped with anti-fraud features such as anti-skimming devices, and cheque image capture technology.
Desjardins says the new ATMs will enable it to provide new services and will support its expansion outside Quebec.
Roger Tessier of Desjardins Group, adds that the new units "will offer our members more choice and convenience by giving them access to more financial services options in the future".
