The Trading Compliance Monitor tracks global equity, fixed income and derivatives dealing activity to detect evidence of potential compliance abuses.

Mantas' Money Laundering Monitor provides enterprise-wide surveillance of customer, account and transaction information to alert staff to suspicious and previously unknown behaviours. The system analyses every transaction and generates risk-based alerts of suspected money laundering activity.

Darren Innes, vice president, sales, Mantas, says: "Our behaviour detection technology gives Barclays Capital the ability to more efficiently manage their regulatory and operational risk, to gain deeper understanding of customer and employee activity, and to move quickly to prevent or limit damage to the firm and its customers."

Installation of the products will begin in Q1 2004.
