Helsinki-based Rahaxi provides payments processing services to 1100 businesses and its network supports more than 5000 point-of-sale devices, generating up to a million transactions per month. The firm operates full, on-line connectivity for credit and debit card transactions at the point of sale to all Finnish banks and Luottokunta, the local bank-established credit card company.

The contract covers an upgrade of Rahaxi's current systems to the HP NonStop servers running Base24. The new system will enable Rahaxi to meet the latest Visa and MasterCard standards and pave the way for EMV compliance.
