Reuters has teamed with Sonic Financial Technologies to provide its clients with order management services and direct access to the US equities markets.
The deal provides Reuters clients with a single point of access to trade on multiple execution venues, including ECNs, Nyse and Nasdaq.
Jeffrey Woodruff, executive vice president, Reuters says the deal provides clients with "broker-neutral, global execution and routing services across multiple liquidity pools".
Reuters says the agreement stems from clients' increasing demand for integrated, broker-neutral capabilities for price discovery, interactivity and direct access trading.
Sonic Financial says the partnership allows it to expand its connectivity beyond the US and offer a global service.
