Under the deal, Reuters' Fundamentals feed will be incorporated into Swip's internal research application.

The inhouse system was built and is hosted by Multex, the New York financial information vendor that Reuters acquired in February this year. Multex has since been re-named Reuters Research.

Swip says the addition of Reuters Fundamentals will provide its portfolio managers and analysts with access to accurate, timely and comprehensive company information on more than 32,000 firms worldwide. The data includes as reported and standardised financials, restated and originally reported financials, business and geographic segment data and financial ratios.

Graham Wood, chief investment officer, equities, Swip, adds: "We selected Reuters Fundamentals because high quality financial data is critical to our research process and investment philosophy. Reuters' 'as reported' data and global coverage were critical factors in our decision."
