M35 releases Office Integration Suite for Financial Services

Web Services systems integration firm m35 has launched its Office Integration Suite for Financial Services which distributes and delivers financial data into Microsoft Office 2003 applications.

The m35 suite feeds financial data directly into Office in real time, providing users with a clear and timely view of business information.

By using the data retrieval, formatting and connectivity features of m35's integration engine, DataTrans, the product supports real-time connections between legacy enterprise systems and Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Excel.

M35 says the suite answers the call of financial services users who want their business critical data delivered to them in a useable, convenient format in one place, instead of having to search for it.

The product also provides an aggregated view of financial information, tailored to a user's needs and displayed in their e-mail application. Users can also receive proactive alerts or SMS messages of important events triggered by changes in data.

Furthermore, complex Excel workbooks can be published on the Web in minutes with no programming, increasing the accessibility of existing analytical models across the organisation. The suite gathers data from multiple systems and integrate it into Excel's calculation engine.

The vendor has also embedded graphical application Visio into the development tool for DataTrans.

Russell Thornton, co-founder of m35, comments: "For the first time, a single product suite satisfies the needs of users to access and interact with financial data in Office and satisfies their IT department's requirement for a secure, robust and supportable platform for delivering that data."
