The bank, which shares nearly one million customer documents among its remote offices, is using LaserFiche's enterprise paperless office solution to provide its 225 staff with online access to customer information, eliminating the old system of faxing queries.

Ranald Caldwell, Bank of Scotland International's director and head of operations, says: "LaserFiche will reduce our processing costs, improve disaster recovery and clearly enhance customer service. We forecast a full project payback within two years."

Viking Office Systems on the Isle of Man supplied and implemented the solution and also provided staff training.
