Given the subject of identity comes up fairly frequently within the Finx blogs, especially in relation to security, it may be of interest to know that Microsoft has hired Dick Hardt to support its efforts to solve identity management problems. Dick explains his move here.
Dick Hardt sprang to wider fame when he delivered the infamous (as in infamously influential) Identity 2.0 presentation back in 2005. The presentation did two things outstandingly well. 1, it is the best, easiest, most compelling introduction to the notion of identity in a internet enabled world. 2, it shows how to present an idea.
If any of those points are of relevant to you, I'd recommend watching it.
