Samsung Pay lands in the US

  Besides the 'me too' element here from Samsung - Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) is a cool feature. I wonder which retailer/loyalty scheme will jump onto this and create a truly seamless payment experience where we start to see NFC and MST tech start to properly change how we pay & shop besides the 'cool' factor we have with tap and go. Surely the bar code and mag stripe loyalty cards should go? When do we see Samsung Pay in the UK?

  We've known this for a long time, and we know the US EMV roll out will pick up momentum at some point - it has to. What would be interesting for me is to understand what percentage of merchants are ready to accept EMV either as chip + signature or as chip + PIN.. and I'm not just talking EMV acceptance infrastructure! TfL warns Apple Pay users of fines for flat batteries

  Its no shame to use your ApplePay phone in the tube. I suggest using the wider family gates/slow lanes until someone figures out how to make the tube experience with ApplePay faster... at least there you wont risk being bundled over.
