It's a good article. I was wondering whether visa A2A uses a feature like request to pay (RtP)for every subscribed payment or utility bill so that there is consented pull from the customer account rather than a default pull as it happens in typical direct debits that also causes "unauthorised auto-renewals", as referred to in this article.

A good analysis and a solution in the form of pay by bank.
I believe rather than charging percentage based pricing, a fixed minimal slab based price would also work as the customer would be willing to pay for a certain minimal price as cost of convenience and not to having to carry cash to the merchant for transaction.
