Will trust woes undermine Open Banking under PSD2?

Interesting a key part in establish consumer trust is their is no fraud.  Yet a key part of the process is the TPP Identity and Verfication.  This was not mentioned once, yet the EBA database even has a disclaimer on it saying it is not accurate.  Here at Konsentus we provide that yet many companies still think using a databsase that says it is not accurate is good enough.  When Fraud starts hitting the system how quickly will consumer trust be lost.

PSD2: Regulation, Strategy, and Innovation

I think the article confuses two issues at the begining around timings.  It states: "In addition, the FCA in conjunction with UK Finance, has developed a rollout plan with staged compliance points ranging from 14th September 2019 to 14th March 2021."

In reality there are two sets of timings:

PSD2 open banking (access to account) delayed up to March 14 2020 - but could end sooner.  But only in the UK no other NCA has announced an adjustment period.

PSD2 SCA for ecommerce has a 15 month EBA delay, alilnging to the 18 month FCA dealy which means this comes into force March 14 2021.

It is important to recognise the two different timescales, and in fact PSD2 open bankign account access has NOT been given an adjustment period as stated by any NCA other than the UK.
