Essential FCU is growing its relationship with IMM, adding the eSign Remote functionality to the business rules-based IMM eSign platform the credit union previously implemented. Because the platform easily integrates with all existing business systems, Essential FCU is able to deliver an enhanced member experience, conduct transactions in a paperless environment and gain credit union-wide efficiencies.

Karesa Pierre, vice president of retail operations at Essential Federal Credit Union, stated, “The paperless environment we have gained from adding eSign Remote has made staff, current and future members untethered to traditional paper-based systems. We have been able to physically take this technology to where our community prefers to conduct business; opening doors to potential members in untraditional locations.”

Essential FCU has seen notable success by using eSignatures with several different outreach campaigns. Employees have visited boat trade shows to expedite account opening and loan processing onsite, as well as open houses with realtor partners to conduct account openings via an iPad. Pierre continued, “Doing business with our credit union has just become so much easier. We launched remote eSignatures in March of this year and within 30 days our document signing rate has doubled.”

The credit union also plans to extend the remote offering to its onsite high school location, Panther Pride Credit Union. There students are learning early in their lives the benefits of having a bank account and the associated services available. Parents will be able to eSign remotely when a student opens accounts instead of needing to be present at either the school location, or the main branch, allowing Essential FCU members to complete and eSign account opening transactions when and where it is most convenient for them.

According to IMM Director of Client Success, Philip Elwyn, “At IMM, we are dedicated to helping credit unions better serve their members, and in today’s digital environment that is paramount. Essential Federal Credit Union is an excellent example of how leveraging digital technology can positively impact members, enabling them to quickly complete transactions at their convenience. Not only has the credit union been able to boost productivity across the entire organization, but it also has enhanced the overall experience for current members, as well as the next generation of account holders.”
