TRANSFAST, a leading cross-border money transfer and payments company, today launched its mobile App for iOS devices as part of its mobile-first initiative.

According to Forrester Research, the number of global smartphone subscribers is expected to reach 3.5 billion by 2019, crossing the 50% mark for smartphone penetration by population in 2017.
Convenient features of TRANSFAST's mobile App include:
- "quick send," enabling users to swipe to send funds to previous recipients
- "scan ID" and "scan card," shortening the time it takes for new customers to submit information from an ID, credit or debit card
- Apple's Touch ID, for added security in authenticating a customer's identity
- Ability to add a photo of a recipient in the "new/edit transfer" tab, to help senders recognize recipients more easily, and to personalize their experience
In addition, the App offers In-App chat with a customer service representative – the only money transfer App to offer this feature.
Using the App, people can sign up and send money to what will soon be more than 100 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. Recipients can get money deposited directly into their bank accounts -- in many cases instantly, 24x7x365 -- or pick up cash at any one of TRANSFAST's 200,000 agent locations worldwide.
New customers can set up a TRANSFAST account from the App, by clicking the "create an account" button and completing the process – and can begin transferring money immediately. There is no need for new customers to use their desktop connection to sign up or to send money. Current TRANSFAST.com customers will find their past transactions synched to their account on the App and the TRANSFAST website.
An Android App will be launched in the coming weeks.
