Qodeo, an independent provider of rich dynamic financial data, trusted network connections and real-time market insight, is set to launch its cloud-based beta service, to drive greater business productivity across the global venture community.

qodeo provides an integrated productivity toolkit that saves users significant time and transaction costs, helps them more effectively source funds and deals, provides secure access to relevant global network connections, along with global community news and insight.

qodeo's unique data gathering methodology, working with 18 leading global business schools, such as Cambridge, Insead and UCLA, captured via in person interviews with venture capital/private equity firms (VC/PEs) - is the core of qodeo's data. This, combined with participatory 'user-driven' data on all user groups provides a more accurate, real time, interactive experience - supporting investment decision making, better performance and speedier time to market. To date, circa 500 leading VC/PEs globally have been interviewed, estimated to be 20% of the industry.

Simon Glass, CEO, qodeo, said: "The global venture community wastes considerable time and money in identifying best-fit partners to drive optimal performance. We believe that Qodeo has built the only platform that uses participatory 'user-driven' data, to drive value for several groups across the value chain, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, private equity firms, limited partners and corporate advisors."

The service is supported by evidence gathered with top Business School Insead, http://www.insead.edu/home/ which showed that the venture community currently spends tens of thousands of pounds in wasted time and money, to find a suitable venture partner. A further study by a Cambridge University Judge Business School team showed how globally there are circa 11 million entrepreneurs seeking venture type funding; along with 2,500 VC/PE firms, 2,500 sovereign and pension funds (LPs) and over 44,000 Corporate Advisor firms - all who lack a unified and interactive venture community platform.

Philippe Charquet, Managing Partner of Paris based PE firm Generis Partners (formerly global head of ViVivendi Universal's venture wing Viventures, and qodeo Advisory Panel co-head) stated: "qodeo's long needed services will allow our industry to increase its success ratio, especially when the Venture Community comes to making educated investment decisions".
