Ulrich Voss is an internationally experienced manager in the financial technology sector. He will join the Avaloq Group as of 1 October 2012, where he will also be a member of the Executive Board.

Ulrich Voss looks back on seventeen years of experience in finance technology as both a consultant and COO. He most recently held the position of COO at Hamburg-based HSH Nordbank AG, where he was a member of the full Management Board acting as general manager. In this role he headed the Information Technology, Operations, Services, Organisation and Non-Payroll Cost Management departments with a combined workforce of 1200. He achieved significant efficiency and quality improvements, among them the successful implementation of a new IT core banking system, the realization of "lean-management" processes and the outsourcing of payment processing transactions. Prior to that, Voss was a Partner at McKinsey & Company in Boston and Frankfurt where he mainly focused on consulting banks on IT and operations.

As the General Manager Central & Eastern Europe as of 1 October 2012, Voss reports directly to CEO Francisco Fernandez and will be a member of the Executive Board. In his position he is responsible for marketing Avaloq's solutions in Germany, Central and Eastern Europe as well as in Avaloq's home market, Switzerland. In addition, he will supervise the local service units, the development of new partnerships and the expansion into new geographical markets. His profound knowledge and experience in the implementation of IT core banking systems and outsourcing are excellent conditions to secure further growth for Avaloq.

Ulrich Voss holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Diploma in business engineering from Darmstadt Technical University.
