Misys names Bill Pollie MD, treasury and capital markets, Americas

Misys plc (FTSE: MSY.L), the global application software and services company, today announces the appointment of Bill Pollie as Managing Director of its Solutions for Treasury & Capital Markets business in the Americas.

He has a proven track record of building relationships with key financial institutions and we are delighted to welcome him to the senior management team."

Pollie, 50, has more than 25 years of management experience in the enterprise software market and brings extensive experience in enterprise account management and partner program development to his role at Misys. He joins Misys from Neocase Software, a leading company in the collaborative customer service software solutions market, where he was President of North American operations.

Previously, Mr. Pollie was Vice President of Microsoft Business Solutions leading the division's U.S. field and channel sales organization and prior to that, in a General Manager role at the company focused on the growth of their enterprise sector. Before joining Microsoft, Bill was vice president of field operations at SAP America Inc. During his nine-year tenure at SAP, Bill also held a number of product and sales management roles. Earlier in his career, he held key management positions at Integral Systems, Automatic Data Processing and Information Science.
