Bharosa, a global provider of proactive, real-time fraud detection and multifactor authentication solutions, today announced it is working with Oracle® to provide extensive fraud protection for Financial, eCommerce, Government and Healthcare applications.

The result of this effort can offer the industry a business-friendly suite of solutions to securely manage user identities and protect against the growing threat of online fraud. In addition, the combined offering will help businesses satisfy increased compliance requirements with information security and industry regulations such as the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards, Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) guidance, HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

Bharosa will integrate its Authenticator and Tracker products with the Oracle Access Manager to enable increased levels of trust between an enterprise and its end users. The combined solution allows an organization to securely manage the identity lifecycle of its end users. Users can be authenticated based on business rules and workflows using multiple factors that are transparent to the end user, such as the device used to login, the user's geographic location or behavioral profiles within the Bharosa Tracker, or by using Bharosa Authenticator for incremental levels of security. In addition, Tracker scores risk and alerts an organization in real time to potential fraud threats. Optionally, Tracker can request secondary forms of authentication for suspicious or high-risk transactions.

"Bharosa has achieved strong traction with industry leading companies because we offer the easiest solution to implement and integrate, and also the most advanced in terms of proactive fraud protection," said Thomas Varghese, Bharosa President and CTO. "Working with Oracle, we now bring the same levels of confidence to enterprise users and transactions by enabling secure, end-to-end identity management with enhanced authentication and fraud detection."
