Merrill Lynch implements Relegence data feed

Merrill Lynch has rolled out Relegence's financial data delivery system across its equity sales and trading desks in New York and London.

New York-based Relegence says the customised service is based on its FirstTrack and KnowledgeHub technologies which monitor, sort and filter data and information from content streams including major newswires, corporate and editorial Web sites and internal sources such as Merrill Lynch research and market commentary.

Users can access sorted information via an interface and forward data to colleagues, clients and internal departments.

Jim Russo, director, Merrill Lynch equity e-commerce, New York, says Relegence's KnowledgeHub enables users to find pertinent newsworthy items quickly and efficiently.

"The relevancy filtering and advanced text scan technology have revolutionised the process," he adds.
