M&I Investment Management Corp (M&I) has selected Macgregor's Financial Trading Platform (MFTP) to automate equity and fixed income trading and will roll the system out to users in six offices.
M&I will use the portfolio manager workstation, advanced fixed income, compliance and the Macgregor FIX Network (MFN) components of the package.
David Schulz, president, M&I, says: "We were looking for a scalable system with robust portfolio management tools and complete asset coverage because we wanted to automate both our equity and fixed income trading on the same platform."
The platform will be linked to M&I's back office system by an interface to be developed by Macgregor and M&I sister company and trust accounting system vendor Metavante. Upon completion, joint clients of Metavante and Macgregor will be able to use the interface.
