Nordea rolls out Internet banking in Lithuania

Scandinavian banking group Nordea has launched a range of e-banking services to corporate customers in Lithuania.

Online banking will be available to personal customers starting this autumn.

The launch of Internet banking services in Lithuania completes Nordea's Baltic reach, alongside its Nordic countries. The banking group went live with e-banking services in Poland in October 2001, Latvia in April 2001 and Estonia in June 2000.

WAP services are already available in Estonia, Latvia and Poland and will be introduced in Lithuania in the autumn.

Bo Harald, who is responsible for electronic banking and e-business, says corporate customers will particularly benefit as access to net banking services in Finland and all Baltic countries only requires one log-on and the same Solo codes are used.

Nordea has two branches in Vilnius providing a full range of financial services to personal and corporate customers. In addition, Nordea has a leasing company in Lithuania, Nordea Finance Lithuania.
