Archipelago connects with Radianz IP network

Archipelago is to use Radianz's Internet Protocol (IP)-based global financial extranet, RadianzNet, to connect European and US financial professionals to its electronic trading system.

The Archipelago Exchange, the old equity trading arm of the Pacific Exchange, began trading last month, following the closure of PCX's San Francisco trading floor, and the merger of the Archipelago ECN with RediBook.

Mike Cormack, Archipelago president says: "As an open system, Archipelago allows its customers to connect the way they want to connect. Radianz's secure, global IP infrastructure is already connected to the financial institutions we are targeting as new customers. This will provide a fast, efficient path for European and U.S. financial institutions to connect to Archipelago."
