Fortis has contracted with Fineos Corporation for its multi-channel disability intake and claims management system.
Under the agreement, Fineos will provide Fortis, through its group life, disability and dental benefits affiliate in Kansas City, Missouri, with a 500-seat allocation for the disability solution.
Set to go live in June 2002, the system will provide Fortis with the option to fully automate all relationship, contact and workflow management within its disablity claims division - whether claims intake is conducted via fax, telephone, letter or email. It is anticipated overall spending on disability claims management will be reduced by up to ten per cent.
Fortis also has the option of installing Web-based self-service portals, which will provide claimants, employers and third parties with the ability to submit claims, complete forms and monitor the progress of claims online.
The deal represents Dublin-based Fineos' first contract win in North America.
