The CPA is building the PKI as a national platform for the introduction of Internet payment applications by member banks. The Kyberpass e-Transaction TrustPlatform will initially be used to conduct testing on the PKI trust model in a 'proof-of-concept' phase planned for Spring 2002.

"A sound trust infrastructure is paramount to setting the highest security standards for financial transactions," says Marc Parent, the CPA's director of information systems and technology. "We chose Kyberpass because of their innovative e-security architecture that integrates well with our PKI trust model."
