Web-based treasury solutions start up e-portals has appointed former MKI professional David Clark as head of business development.
E-portals has been established by financial technology veteran Hal Hovland, Ian Chester and Mario Rosi, to develop Web-based treasury services using Microsoft's .Net framework. Its core family of products are designed to provide low cost, easily accessible global treasury functions - such as derivative pricing and global risk monitoring - to banks and financial institutions.
As head of business development, Clark will focus on three specific objectives as part of e-portals' overall growth strategy: establishing strategic and commercial relationships with key early adopter banking and software partners; building awareness of e-portals’ X-Treasury product set; and deploying the appropriate infrastructure to support e-portals' sales and marketing operations.
Clark was previously with MKI Frustum where he was responsible for the EMEA sales and marketing function of the Opics Treasury solution. He has also held positions with IBIS Banking Systems, Third Wave Systems, and BIS Banking Systems.
