SunGard readies for SwiftNet Relationship Management migration with Mint RMA

Sungard has launched a Relationship Management Application module for SwiftNet FIN message exchange as part of its Mint middleware package.

The Mint RMA application allows the central management of relationships between SwiftNet FIN correspondents through the exchange of RMA authorisations. The new module is being rolled out to existing Mint customers in response to the mandatory adoption of RMA capabilities required by the migration of SwiftNet FIN to Phase 2.

Don Tyson, chief technology officer for SunGard's STeP business unit, comments: "The deadlines for SwiftNet Phase 2 migration dictate that, as of April 2008, our customers will be required to demonstrate use of Swift's live RMA service - meaning there is a critical and immediate need for solutions such as this."

The Mint module runs on an Oracle database and offers a centralised Web interface for access, administration and maintenance.

Says Tyson: "Mint RMA offers our Mint customers the benefits of low total cost of ownership, ease of deployment and consolidated SwiftNet capabilities from a single vendor - helping make the challenge of RMA adoption far easier to manage."
