Accurate has existing relationships with other subsidiary companies within the RBS group, but this will be the first time the vendor's software has been used within Royal Bank of Scotland itself.

NatWest has in the past re-badged and sold Accurate's reconciliation software, and the firm also counts as clients RBS subsidiaries Lombard Asset Finance, Lombard Bank, Ulster Bank, RBS Commercial Services, Direct Line and Dixon Motors.

Accurate Software co-CEO Phil Hall says: "With Accurate NXG, RBS will have a common platform that can easily be extended to handle matching and reduce operational risk in many parts of the business."
