Ixaris today reveals its latest innovation for Ixaris Payments Server, the cloud platform that enables financial institutions to offer prepaid card programmes with minimal time and effort.
The new UX toolkit will allow the corporate customers of financial institutions to quickly and easily customise the user experience of payments applications, with no programming expertise required.
Corporates often require changes to the generic payments applications provided by financial institutions or their programme managers. This presents a major challenge as financial institutions typically lack the resources and expertise to tailor products in a timely fashion. Even minor enhancements can take three to four months and may not be exactly what customers desire.
Ixaris’ UX toolkit solves this problem by enabling corporates to safely alter payments applications to their unique requirements, without having to edit code. The toolkit allows corporates to quickly and easily customise the design, content and functionality of their payments programmes. Edits can range from simple alterations to a login page right through to a complete overhaul of design and functionality. The UX toolkit also provides facilities for the financial institution to review the changes and approve them prior to deploying them in a live environment.
Alex Mifsud, Founder and CEO of Ixaris, commented: “Businesses and consumers increasingly are demanding the ability to customise products, a trend the payments sector has been slow to respond to until now. The UX editor is part of our long-term goal of allowing end users to be in control of their payments products. By making toolkits available rather than hardwired applications, Ixaris is taking payments IT out of the inner sanctum of banks and specialist developers, and into the hands of a far wider group of people than ever before.”
Since its launch in June 2013, Ixaris Payments Server has gone from strength to strength. Key deals include partnerships with UBA to deliver e-commerce payments to millions of consumers in Africa and 3mlti to capitalise on the growing prepaid market in the Middle East. Last year Ixaris announced a pioneering ‘App Store’ approach to payments product development for banks.
