Point is one of the leading providers of electronic payment solutions in Europe with representation in the Nordic, Baltic and UK markets.

The merger with Point ensures Xileo's long-term stability and will strengthen its development and investment capabilities. For Point, the acquisition represents an opportunity to expand its support to clients, both existing and new, in the French market.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Point has provided a full range of electronic payment solutions in northern Europe and the Baltic States since 1987. Its clients range from large international retail names to small independent stores. The Point Group has more than 250,000 clients and supports 450,000 payment devices. "Xileo is seen as a very trustworthy player in the French market with a management and operational team that will bring additional capabilities and strengths to Point," says Johan Tjärnberg, CEO, Point.

Since its inception in 2001, Xileo has distributed, installed and maintained payment systems for a wide-variety of customers such as retailers, resellers, integrators, manufacturers, banks and government organisations. "Our customers can now rely on a service provider that is able to support them abroad thanks to the equipment, software and services produced by the expertise within the complete Point group," says Patrice Lust, CEO, Xileo.
