This release allows customers to expand their Spotfire applications into new business-critical areas, bringing the speed and flexibility of the Spotfire experience to new users. Spotfire 3.0 introduces simplified connectivity to popular business applications such as SAP and Oracle, load balancing and enhanced in-memory performance to better enable IT organizations to scale Spotfire throughout the enterprise.

The introduction of Spotfire 3.0 now makes it possible to analyze data from enterprise data sources, including SAP, Oracle, Siebel, Salesforce.com and more. Simplified Application Integration

Spotfire 3.0 is designed to leverage existing enterprise IT assets and infrastructure, minimizing application complexity while delivering improved access to data. Working in tandem with TIBCO Spotfire® Application Data Services, a new integration product, Spotfire 3.0 enables simplified integration to SAP NetWeaver BI, SAP ERP, Salesforce.com, Siebel eBusiness Applications, and Oracle E-Business Suite.

A robust Web Services connector enables organizations to integrate with countless additional applications and data sources. An integrated caching layer also dramatically speeds up data access from slow data sources by pre-loading common views and eliminating or reducing the need to create data warehouses or data marts. With this release, the limitations that had often led IT to adopt multiple applications in order to satisfy the information needs of different user groups no longer apply.

Enterprise Performance & Scalability

Designed for enterprise-level deployment, Spotfire 3.0 offers proven scalability across the enterprise through a reliable multi-tiered architecture. This design supports full failover recovery and dynamic load balancing, centralized management of enterprise deployments and improved application migration methods. These enhancements make deployments across mission critical applications possible and allow IT to continually respond more quickly to growing business needs.

Real-time Analysis & Reporting

Spotfire 3.0 also includes enhancements to its industry-leading data visualization. Improvements to the dynamic data engine now also enable visualizations and analyses to be automatically updated based on external events and real-time data.

Improved mapping allows for better data analysis of patterns, clusters, correlations among pairs of variables, gaps, and outliers. Spotfire 3.0 also offers tree maps that allow for the analysis of hierarchical and multi-dimensional data to identify structural properties, as well as error bars that instantly illuminate outliers and visually depict standard deviations on existing visualizations. This added visualization extensibility provides rapid overviews of data and the ability to instantly spot trends from many variables.
