Lombard International Assurance has contracted with Reuters to integrate applications and databases at its Luxembourg headquarters using Tibco Software's BusinessWorks solution.
The BusinessWorks application will integrate Lombard's fund accounting systems, including an in-house policy management solution, and connect the firm to the Swift network.
Pierre Castagne, solutions and consulting manager, Reuters Belgium and Luxembourg, says the project will help Lombard achieve improved straight-through processing (STP).
He adds: "By streamlining and linking their business processes financial institutions can drastically increase their operational efficiency and improve customer satisfaction."
Deployment of the application has already started and it is expected to be fully operational in early 2003.
