UL expands PCI DSS services for North Asia market

UL is pleased to announce their PCI DSS (PCI Data Security Standard) services can be provided locally in North Asia due to gaining a new Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).

UL is one of the QSA companies that was qualified by the PCI Council to have their employees assess compliance to the PCI DSS standard.

UL has been a QSA company since 2008 and has expanded its PCI DSS capability with the addition of a QSA is based in Hong Kong. This enables the delivery of local PCI DSS assessment and consulting services.

Andrew Jamieson, PCI Manager at UL’s Transaction Security division in Australia, commented: “We’re very proud that our staff member Kelvin Lee has obtained the qualification as a QSA. It adds to his existing experience with other PCI services such as PTS and PIN, providing a truly unique combination of skills in the North Asian region. His local language skills will be a great benefit to our customers as well. We aim to continue to provide our customers with industry leading support, and will be continuing to grow our PCI services throughout Asia Pacific in 2015. ” PCI DSS covers the protection of cardholder data in an operational environment. UL is accredited to perform this and other approval programs including PTS, PA-DSS, PIN Security and P2PE.
