Young Sohn has served as the president and chief strategy officer for Samsung Electronics since 2012.

With 30 years of semiconductor and manufacturing experience, Sohn has previously served as CEO and president for four other public companies including Quantum Corporation, Oak Technologies, Agilent Semiconductor (now Avago) and Inphi Corporation. In addition, he helped take three companies public while serving as either CEO or as board member (at PLX Technologies, Synnex Technologies and Inphi). Young began his career at Intel and was responsible for starting the company's strategic and highly successful PC chipset business.
