Spindle names Michael Buchanan VP, affiliate marketing programme

Spindle, Inc., (OTCQB: SPDL), a leading provider of mobile commerce solutions, announced it has named Michael "Buck" Buchanan as vice president of its affiliate marketing program.

In this role, Buchanan will actively recruit national retailers and other merchants to enroll in Spindle's "Yowza!! Offers" mobile marketing service, a comprehensive platform that connects consumers and merchants through customized coupons and promotions. He will also play a strategic role in the ongoing development of Yowza!! Offers.

Buchanan will contribute to Spindle's long-term vision of the Yowza!! platform as an expansive solution for merchants that encompasses emerging capabilities that can best be accomplished through mobile commerce. He will be active in the introduction of several key innovations, such as in-store beaconing, an open API interface providing easy integration for developers, in-store mobile redemption, tracking of customer purchases, and detailed data analytics.

Buchanan has spent more than a decade in the digital marketing space and has specific expertise in affiliate networks and ecommerce. He's been responsible for several award-winning e-commerce and affiliate marketing projects, including platforms such as Magento and eBay, and an acclaimed program through the ExactTarget cloud marketing platform. In addition, he has assisted or led the electronic marketing efforts of such companies as Sylvan Learning Centers, The Discovery Channel, National Marker Company, FootSmart.com and fye.com.
