Skrill, one of Europe's leading online payments companies, today announces the appointment of George Goodyer as vice president of IT solutions delivery.
Goodyer will be responsible for the successful delivery of product innovations and software production support, reporting directly to Skrill's senior vice president of technology, Roland Schaar.
Goodyer joins Skrill from RightScale, a leader in enterprise cloud portfolio management, where he held the position of senior director of software development. Prior to this, he held a number of positions at VeriSign (acquired by Symantec) including engineering director, responsible for the development and maintenance on the SSL core and retail product lines.
Skrill is one of Europe's largest online payment systems and among the world's largest independent digital wallet providers with over 36 million account holders and 150,000 merchants using its payment solutions. The Skrill Digital Wallet enables customers to make online payments conveniently and securely, as well as to send and receive money online cost-effectively.
