NCR Corporation, the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, announced today that Wolfgang Kneilmann has been appointed as the new vice president for the company's financial services line of business in Europe.

He will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities within the line of business across the region.

Kneilmann started his career at NCR, where he has worked in various sales and management positions for more than 11 years. In 2001, he joined Swissrisk AG, a European software specialist, as a member of the management team. He oversaw sales and marketing for banking-specific software solutions from 2001 until early 2007.

In March 2007, he returned to NCR to become managing director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Most recently, Kneilmann was responsible for NCR's financial services business in Central and Eastern Europe, where he further developed his expertise in sales, marketing and customer services. In this new role, Kneilmann will drive new business models that help increase profitability in bank branches. To this end, he will focus on software-based solutions and concepts, in addition to NCR's core hardware and services.

"With more than 300 million transactions per day on NCR systems, we know what consumers expect. We offer comprehensive consultancy and appropriate software solutions to drive innovation and make everyday easier for consumers," said Kneilmann.
