Trayport, a leading provider of energy trading solutions to traders, brokers and exchanges worldwide, today announced that Central European Gas Hub (CEGH) in cooperation with Wiener Boerse (Vienna Stock Exchange) are now using GlobalVision Exchange Trading System (ETS) for the operation of their markets.

Both markets, the CEGH Gas Exchange Spot and the CEGH Gas Exchange Futures Market are now operating using Trayport's ETS. The ETS has replaced existing platforms for CEGH exchange markets and provides a sophisticated matching engine that enables cleared and bilateral trading, market operations and data distribution for exchanges.

Bernhard Seiberl, COO at CEGH, said 'The market environment is constantly changing and it offers new opportunities for traders in the Baumgarten area. We needed a proven market leading exchange platform that would allow us to deal with the needs of the market now and in the future.' He added 'Trayport's Exchange Trading System will allow gas traders to combine CEGH markets with other international markets on their screen. In addition the implementation was efficient and seamless.'

Kevin Heffron, COO at Trayport, said, 'In choosing Trayport CEGH has shown a commitment to having the best in class technology to run its markets. Many exchanges globally already benefit from using Trayport's Exchange Trading Systems. The addition of CEGH reflects the importance that markets worldwide place on allowing themselves the best opportunity to grow as their markets develop.' He added 'The seamless integration with Trayport's Glovbalvision Trading Gateway provides the added advantage of being able to access over 150 trading companies across Europe. We look forward to working with CEGH to support their international gas traders.'

Central European Gas Hub has become the most important trading platform for natural gas in Central Europe, offering international gas trading companies the possibility to trade at Baumgarten and other border points of the Austrian gas grid. It runs the CEGH OTC Market and the CEGH Gas Exchange of Wiener Boerse with a Spot Market and a Futures Market.
