As of October Hoeft & Wessel will provide NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled contactless payment functionality across its ITSO ticketing equipment and terminals through the integration of Contactless.LIB, CreditCall's Contactless Kernel.

CreditCall's Contactless Kernel allows Hoeft & Wessel to quickly and easily incorporate contactless payment technology into its solutions, greatly reducing their development and time to market cycle.

Hoeft & Wessel is the leading IT and engineering technology Group for ticketing, parking and mobile solutions in Great Britain and Germany. The product portfolio covers stationary and mobile systems with ticket vending machines, parking machines and mobile terminals.

The fully featured Contactless Kernel enables acceptance of Visa payWave and MasterCard PayPass enabled cards in retail and unattended environments. It meets all current Visa, MasterCard and EMVCo standards and allows support for additional contactless card schemes such as NFC. Contactless.LIB supports MasterCard's PayPass M/Chip and M/Stripe in addition to Visa's qVSDC and MSD functionality.

Peter Aylward, General Manager of Almex UK, part of Hoeft & Wessel, explained "CreditCall is a globally acknowledged industry expert with an exceptional track record in the payment sector. Their Contactless Kernel has enabled us to quickly and economically integrate contactless payment functionality across our offering."

CreditCall's CTO Jeremy Gumbley stated "We are delighted that Hoeft & Wessel as a well-known provider of proven ticketing systems across Europe have opted for our contactless kernel. With Contactless.LIB, Hoeft & Wessel is able to make contactless payment available more widely, contributing significantly to the contactless payment revolution happening right now."
