Alun Green to lead SunGard's Cliq business

Alun Green has been named general manager of SunGard's Cliq™, a new Web-based service that provides standardized electronic communication and collaboration between buy- and sell-side financial institutions involved in the global, post-trade processing of listed derivatives. This is a newly created role. Previously, Alun was general manager of the Stream GMI business within SunGard's Brokerage & Clearance. Alun is based in Chicago.

Alun is a derivatives industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience. Prior to joining SunGard in 2007, Alun was head of IT business analysis for Calyon Financial. His responsibilities included IT strategic planning and implementation for operations, finance, compliance, risk and other middle- and back -office functions across all exchange traded and OTC products. He has also held management posts in London and Chicago and was instrumental in setting up the firm's global IT infrastructure. He has led many systems migration and integration projects, including the merger of the brokerage businesses of Credit Agricole and Credit Lyonnais to form the Calyon Financial group.

Alun will leverage his success in leading the Stream GMI product line and his experience in both technology and business roles within the derivatives industry to run this dynamic new offering.

Replacing Alun as head of Stream GMI is Christopher Meens, who has been in the derivatives industry for more than 25 years. As executive vice president, operational services, Chris will provide strategic leadership and direction for Stream GMI. Chris is based in Chicago.

Previously, Chris held a number of positions within Stream GMI, including senior project manager in the Sydney office and managing director in the London office. Prior to that, Chris was head of IT for Bank Austria Creditanstalt Futures Group and project director for Barclays Capital Management.
