European politicians have raised the possibility of suspending or even terminating the EU-US Terrorist Finance Tracking Programme (TFTP) after failing to get a convincing rebuttal from US authorities over allegations that the National Security Agency spied on bank-to-bank messaging data transmitted over the Swift network.
First Blanche is a charming lady so "he" is absolutlely not suitable ! I had the wonderful opportunity to valse (out of date fascinating dance) in Vienna with her.
Second it is always the same story : up to which point are we ready to get informations from the US to avoid terrorism attacks in Europe ? The fact that data could be used for economic intelligence is an evidence for non naive people ! and no country will
resist in using this possibility ! The only solution is to avoid using the dollar in the international trade as no data will then be stored in the US territory, but are we ready to pay the price for being blind from terrorism ?...
And when will Europe build the same IT system as the US to try to find potential bad guys fund transfers ? ...and under which neutral authority ?...
