iZettle's card reader, which plugs into smartphones and tablets, normally sells for Skr249. The app works with all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club.

"iZettle's vision from day one has been to simplify and democratise payments," says Jacob de Geer, CEO and co-founder of iZettle, whose mobile payment service is now available throughout the UK, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. "Powerful partners are essential to making that vision a reality and this campaign is a part of that."

Nordea merchants who take up the offer forego the usual lengthy sign-up process and monthly fees associated with card acquiring, instead paying a 2.75% fee on all purchases made with the device.
