Boku awarded e-money licence in Europe

Source: Boku

BOKU works with merchants and carriers from all over the world, and we make it a priority to ensure accountability to everyone with whom we do business.

Recently, BOKU obtained regulatory approval for the extension of the BOKU Payments Platform in the European Union in the form of an e-Money license. This approval indicates that our mobile payments platform meets the stringent security and regulatory requirements of the Financial Services Authority in the UK.

BOKU partners can be confident that we take their security seriously and that we are continuously striving to deliver the most secure, regulatory compliant mobile payment solution. We believe that our e-Money license will allow even more merchants to participate in mobile commerce resulting in an expansion of the overall online mobile payments market.

We are excited to combine the e-money license with the great breadth and depth of our merchant and carrier partnerships. BOKU is now the only company that is primarily focused on direct to bill payments with an e-Money license in Europe. Given that the UK and EU have some of the most stringent requirements for financial services in the world, we're proud to demonstrate our ability to comply with these consumer protections. Our merchant and carrier friends should know that we're doing all we can to ensure that we continue to be the easiest and most secure payment method available.
