A nice summary of all the issues that need to be considered by all players in the payments landscape. The pace of change is giving the Banks big problems as they are currently burdened by regulatory change and have limitted resources, funds and skilled resources.

The big payments services providers are moving fast to ensure the new entrants dont steal all of their lunch, and are investing heavily in new solutions to support consumer expectations, particulary around mobile.

Considering all the issues Ed mentions is necessary to ensure the Bank or Service providers make wise investments and dont get left behind. The effect of investing in the wrong solutions can be equally catestrophic. This is a nice overview of the key issues we all face.
