Experian names Gilberto Vasconcelos country manager, Brazil

Experian, the global information solutions company, today announced that Gilberto Vasconcelos has been named country manager of Brazil.

Working with all of Experian's business units, Vasconcelos will be responsible for developing and leading the company's expansion and growth initiatives in Brazil.

"Brazil is an exciting market for Experian. Our clients are asking for many of our information solutions products and services, including customer acquisition and marketing solutions, as well as consumer and business credit information services," said Rick Gallagher, executive vice president of Latin America and Canada. "Gilberto's regional experience and industry leadership will be a significant asset to Experian and our clients as we continue our growth efforts. He will be a great complement to the strong Experian-Scorex decision support business already in operation in Sao Paulo."

Vasconcelos has more than 20 years' experience in leadership positions in the banking, telecommunications and information solutions industries. Most recently, Vasconcelos served as president of Equifax do Brasil. In this role, he was responsible for managing Equifax activities within the country.

Prior to his Equifax experience, Vasconcelos served in leadership positions at Claro do Brasil/BCP Northeast, BankBoston and Citibank. He has earned degrees in civil engineering and business administration and has completed postgraduate work in foreign trade, advanced management and corporate finance.
