Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT) today announced it has opened a new office in Houston, Texas.

The new office will provide TT’s X_TRADER electronic trading software and other technology solutions to energy firms and local trading groups, including banks and proprietary trading firms.

"TT's decision to come to Houston signals a new wave of electronic trading of energy commodities that will fundamentally change the way companies trade, and clearly gives TT an advantage in working with the energy industry," said Marty Makulski, Director of Trading & Risk Systems Practice with Sirius Solutions in Houston.

"The global energy markets are growing at a very brisk pace, and we are seeing continued strong demand for our X_TRADER product from the energy sector. Houston is the hub of U.S. energy trading activities and also is home to several key investment banks and trading institutions, and the region represents tremendous opportunity. With our experienced Houston-based sales team, TT is well positioned to serve our growing client base there," said Tim Geannopulos, EVP Global Sales.
