Trading Technologies opens Houston office to tap energy markets

Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT) today announced it has opened a new office in Houston, Texas.

The new office will provide TT’s X_TRADER electronic trading software and other technology solutions to energy firms and local trading groups, including banks and proprietary trading firms.

"TT's decision to come to Houston signals a new wave of electronic trading of energy commodities that will fundamentally change the way companies trade, and clearly gives TT an advantage in working with the energy industry," said Marty Makulski, Director of Trading & Risk Systems Practice with Sirius Solutions in Houston.

Houston is the hub of U.S. energy trading activities and also is home to several key investment banks and trading institutions, and the region represents tremendous opportunity.
