Inverid is pleased to announce that Susana Delgado has joined the supervisory board of Inverid. Susana Delgado is the Head of Consumer & SME Payments Strategy at Swift.

She will bring to Inverid extensive knowledge of the banking sector as well as digital transformation programs.

With that knowledge Inverid - creators of world’s leading mobile identity document verification technology ReadID - hopes to strengthen its position in the banking industry and other digital industries. Banks are facing strong regulatory pressure in the KYC and AML areas as well as growing digital identity fraud. Strong and user-friendly identity verification as Inverid provides it to banks such as ING, Rabobank and ASB Bank New Zealand, is a corner stone in any secure and cost-effective KYC process.

“I really look forward to collaborate with the Inverid board in accelerating growth”, states Susana Delgado. “The company has an impressive track record in finance that should be expanded into new geographies. Sharing my knowledge and experience in the field will contribute to that”.

In her 20 years of professional experience, Susana has worked for financial institutions such as Santander, where she was COO of a cross-border payments business and lead digital strategies within the consumer fintech ecosystem, and early on in her career she worked for Citi in its credit cards business. She has also been a management consultant for McKinsey and a member of its payments practice.

“Susana is a great addition to our supervisory board”, according to Inverid CEO Maarten Wegdam. “With her experience she can provide interesting new views on our product and can introduce us to relevant players in finance. Banks should learn how NFC-based identity verification can increase security, grow conversion, and lower cost of compliance”.

Inverid was founded in 2013 (under the name InnoValor). They were the first to bring identity document verification technology to smartphones in 2014 and were the first to bring this to iOS in 2019. Inverid has its headquarters in Enschede (Netherlands) and has offices in London and Valencia. Next to banking, Inverid is active in government services, trust service providers, travel and borders, and real-estate services in Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Its supervisory board is now formed by Charly Zwemstra (Main Capital) and Susana Delgado.
