FT Interactive Data, part of Interactive Data Corporation (NYSE: IDC), and TheMuniCenter L.L.C. today announced that TheMuniCenter will utilize FT Interactive Data's Securities Information Retrieval Service (SIRS) as the primary source of reference data for its electronic fixed income trading marketplace.

With SIRS, a fully automated offering for delivering comprehensive reference data, TheMuniCenter will be able to provide its clients access to a broad set of high quality data on a wide range of fixed income securities, including U.S. government, municipal and corporate bonds. FT Interactive Data’s multi-asset reference data offering will also be used as a main source for TheMuniCenter's mission-critical securities masterfile, which can enable them to validate trade orders, bids and offerings, research securities in connection with trading activities, and create derived data items such as yield, accrued interest and duration.

"Providing our clients with access to high quality, timely, and relevant data can help them analyze fixed-income securities to help them make more informed trading decisions," said Tom Vales, chief executive officer, TheMuniCenter. "We have been working closely with FT Interactive Data to ensure that our broad spectrum of clients, from the largest Wall Street dealers to the smallest independent advisors, have access to this information in an easy-to-use online format that helps them use our offerings more efficiently."

"We are very pleased to be providing TheMuniCenter with access to a single, comprehensive source of reference data that is flexible enough to manage the continued growth and sophistication of fixed income securities," said Ray D'Arcy, president of sales, marketing and institutional business development, Interactive Data Corporation. "We believe that FT Interactive Data's high quality information on a broad range of fixed-income securities will help strengthen TheMuniCenter’s position as a premier online fixed income trading marketplace."
