Lorraine Tanner has joined the OneBanx leadership team as Head of Risk and Compliance as it gears up for the next stage of its development.
She joins from Ecclesiastical Insurance UK, where she was Group Head of Compliance. Lorraine also worked at Pay4 and NatWest.
Lorraine will be working alongside CEO Duncan Cockburn, Marianne Breen-Hart, COO, Andy Wilmot, CTO and Tracey Maclennan, who joined in March as the new Head of People, as part of a significantly strengthened management team at OneBanx.
Duncan Cockburn, founder and CEO of OneBanks said, “We are at an exciting stage in our development, having shown that our award-winning shared branch concept is able to make a difference in communities which no longer have access to conventional bank branches. With further kiosks in the pipeline, it is more crucial than ever that we have the right risk and compliance infrastructure in place to provide the reassurance and security which both our customers and our partners rightly expect.”
Lorraine added: “I am really looking forward to working together as part of a young and dynamic team who are working to ensure no community in Britain is left without access to cash and other everyday banking services.”
OneBanx currently operates three pilot kiosks in Co-op supermarkets in Scottish towns where there are no conventional bank branches, offering local customers and businesses access to a range of vital everyday banking services. Having showcased these three live kiosks, it recently opened a new outlet in Nottingham under the TSB banner. Two more kiosks are due to open as part of an agreement with Newcastle Building Society. OneBanx also expects to participate in a tender process for a larger roll out of shared banking solutions for the major UK banks due to take place early next year.
