BearingPoint appoints Stephen Kingsley to head up UK financial services practice

BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE:BE), one of the world's largest management and technology consulting firms, today announces the appointment of Stephen Kingsley as lead for the firm's London-based financial services practice.

Kingsley has been a financial services specialist throughout his career, having worked with Arthur Andersen for over 30 years, finally as Managing Partner of the global Financial Services practice, as well as more senior recent roles at DiamondCluster International and Aon Corporation. He has substantial expertise on a broad range of issues, including the development of stock and derivatives exchanges, and risk management for banks and trading firms.

As UK lead for the Financial Services practice, Stephen will be responsible for BearingPoint's team in London. His experience of building businesses to serve the financial services sector will be put to good use in his new position.

Speaking of his appointment at BearingPoint, Kingsley commented: "I am extremely excited to be joining BearingPoint as UK Financial Services Lead at a time when BearingPoint is experiencing strong growth in its financial services sector. Stephen is a member of the Guild of International Bankers and has been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1978.

At the same time, BearingPoint is further boosting its wider Financial Services practice in EMEA with the appointment of Christoph Petznik as Managing Director to BearingPoint Germany. Christoph will strengthen the European Insurance Segment, assuming full responsibility for the country cluster of Germany, Austria and Switzerland whilst based in BearingPoint's Munich office. Joining from the SAP Consulting and Development division of MSG Systems AG in Munich, Christoph has a wealth of experience in the insurance industry. His appointment will undoubtedly support BearingPoint's business success in the core insurance business.
