FNX Limited (FNX), a leader in the delivery of technology solutions to the global financial markets, announced today that Mizuho Capital has licensed SierraLink, FNX's most recently released middleware platform.

SierraLink is designed to allow seamless integration of any Sierra System components with third-party or in-house systems, facilitating straight-through processing (STP).

It supports a wide variety of instruments and data types such as FX cash spots, forwards, swaps and futures, FX vanilla and exotic options, fixed income and trade extended attributes among others.

SierraLink will initially be used by Mizuho to automate the workflow of futures and options contracts executed on the exchanges. The implementation of SierraLink will further strengthen Mizuho's STP capabilities by eliminating possible human errors on data transfer and reconciliation from one environment to another.

SierraLink architecture conforms to the ISO OSI (Open System Interconnection) standard. Its protocol layer supports XML, HTTP, SSL and its transport layer is configurable to support multiple transport mechanisms including TCP/IP, TIB/Rendezvous and IBM MQ Series among others.

Designed for high flexibility, SierraLink is user-configurable and adapts to Mizuho's future integration needs. SierraLink's real-time monitor and its drill down capabilities allow users to monitor the status of the interfaces and have total control of the integration process using a single screen.

Andrew Vickers, chief technology officer from FNX said, "Mizuho's acquisition of SierraLink further endorses it as an enterprise integration solution. Every day more of our customers want to have the flexibility to interface any standard protocol or format with external systems. We are very glad that we can meet our customers' expectations and provide the solutions they require."
