Moneygram purchases Ingenico e-payment terminals

Ingenico, one of the world's largest providers of electronic payment terminals, announced today that MoneyGram International has agreed to purchase over $5 million of eN-Touch 3100 terminals over the next 3 years.

This IP-enabled transaction terminal is used for the convenient delivery of electronic transactions throughout the U.S. operations of MoneyGram.

MoneyGram deploys Ingenico's IP-enabled eN-Touch 3100 at its agent retail service and kiosk areas to assist in the convenient and fast delivery of money orders and money transfers. "This application of MoneyGram's is one example of how Ingenico actively plans to build on the U.S. banking opportunities available for our secure transaction products. Improved automation, convenience, customer service and security are all benefits realized by the implementation of Ingenico products in the banking channels. With the eN-Touch 3100’s IP capabilities there is always the potential to utilize the terminal to simplify other IP-based services MoneyGram offers its clients," said Geoff Bowen, President, Ingenico Inc.

The eN-Touch 3100 is a field proven product that uses the high-speed of the Internet to communicate transaction information to MoneyGram's host computer system. With its large touch-screen and backlit display, a high-speed thermal printer and large memory capacity, the eN-Touch 3100 is ideal for applications used by companies such as MoneyGram. Built to be more than just a credit card terminal, the eN-Touch 3100 can be driven via a thin-client application or a fully resident application on the terminal.
